About Media CenterThe Media Center provides audiovisual equipment support to classrooms and multipurpose rooms on the BCC main campus, and maintains the media lab in D-126. Media viewing and production services are available in the lab for students, staff and faculty.Media Center(D-126)The LMC Media Center houses and circulates the audiovisual collection, telecourse video tapes and media reserve materials. The Media Center also provides media viewing spaces for individuals as well as groups and offers many production services for students, staff, and faculty of the college. |

Media Center hours are as follows:
Viewing SpaceThe Media Center is comprised primarily of 15 individual viewing and listening carrels that are available on a first come, first served basis. Patrons may utilize VCR-DVD/monitor setups, audio players, audio recorders, slide viewers, filmstrip viewers, phonograph record players, and a CD player. Available on request, 1 day prior to use, is a CD or phonograph record transfer to cassette dubbing station.The Group viewing space is available on a sign-up basis up to a week in advance. A staff person will sign up groups of 2 or more (up to 6 maximum) for either slide viewing or VHS/DVD video viewing. These viewing spaces may only be reserved in advance by students using media equipment. The Media Center has wireless network cards available for check out to currently enrolled students. The wireless cards are for on-campus use only and the check out period is one day. Significant fines are charged for violation of the wireless policy. Loan Period for Audiovisual MaterialsVideo tapes may be viewed in the media lab, but may not be checked out for home use. Faculty members may use videos and films in their classrooms or to evaluate for academic use. All other materials including audio tapes, Music CD's, and phonograph records may be checked out for 7 days. Only currently enrolled students, staff, and faculty are eligible to check out materials.For a complete chart of check out times for all library materials, please click here.
